The Impressionist Painters' Garden by Jean-Marc de Pas

Come discover the new space created by Jean-Marc de Pas this past April, dedicated to painters of the Impressionist era!

To mark the centennial of Claude Monet, Jean-Marc de Pas has set up a new space in his sculpture garden, dedicated to portraits of twenty iconic painters of the Impressionist era that he created in public during the 2010 and 2013 Festivals: William Turner, John Constable, Camille Corot, Louis-Alexandre Dubourg, Eugène Boudin, Camille Pissarro, Édouard Manet, Edgar Degas, James Whistler, Paul Cézanne, Alfred Sisley, Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Mary Cassatt, Paul Gauguin, Gustave Caillebotte, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Amedeo Modigliani.

These works are integrated into a setting featuring floriferous rosebushes in delicate hues and light, colorful perennials. Each portrait is accompanied by a panel detailing biographical information about the artist and their creative process. Visitors can wander freely through this lively and accessible setting. Local painters and teachers will be invited to lead outdoor painting workshops and to come paint in the garden with their students.
