Solar Eclipse Evening, featuring a conference at 6 pm and a potluck picnic in the garden, with crêpes and drinks available on site

Join us for a public conference on our solar system and the universe, presented by Didier Blavette, Professor Emeritus at the University of Rouen, and observe the solar eclipse scheduled for 12 August from 7.21 pm to 8.17 pm. Solar eclipse viewing glasses will be on sale at the venue (+€1.50)

On the programme:

. A tour of the Sculpture Garden and the exhibition ‘The Uniqueness of Colour’ by Caroline Coppey, a contemporary visual artist, and a meeting with Jean-Marc de Pas in his studio.

. A public conference at 6.00 pm entitled ‘Our Solar System and the Universe’ by Didier Blavette, Professor Emeritus at the University of Rouen.  

. Followed by a potluck picnic. Crêpes and drinks available to buy on site.

Didier Blavette is a physicist and researcher, winner of the Yves Rocard Prize and the CNRS Silver Medal. In 2006, he was appointed a senior member of the Institut universitaire de France. He is also a Knight of the National Order of Merit. He has been teaching at the University of Rouen-Normandy since 1990.
