  • The Citadelle Quartet is a young French quartet founded in 2024.

The Citadelle Quartet are studying at the CNSMDP in the classes of François Salque and Jean Sulem, and on the ‘concertist programme’ at the CRR de Paris in Miguel Da Silva’s class. They have also received guidance from members of the Ebène Quartet, the Belcea Quartet, the Strada Quartet, Günter Pichler (Alban Berg Quartet), François Kieffer (Modigliani Quartet), Eugene Drucker (Emerson Quartet), Marc Coppey (Ysaÿe Quartet) and Kim Kashkashian. Since September 2025, they have been in residence with ProQuartet.

The Citadelle Quartet took part in the Rencontres Musicales de La Baule festival, where they shared the stage with François Salque and Manuel Vioque-Judde. As part of the ‘Génération Chaise-Dieu’ programme, the Citadelle Quartet was in residence at the Chaise-Dieu festival in August 2024. They performed Michaël Levinas’s string quartet at the La Roque d’Anthéron Festival in August 2025. Following this collaboration, Michaël Levinas decided to compose a piece for the Citadelle Quartet.

The Citadelle Quartet has been awarded the special ‘Cordes en Ballade’ prize, presented by the Debussy Quartet at the FNAPEC’s 2024 ‘Musiques d’ensemble’ European competition.
