- Luosha Fang
A violinist and violist, she performs regularly with prestigious orchestras such as the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and the American Symphony Orchestra, and has taken part in several major US premieres. A prize-winner at international competitions, chamber music lies at the heart of her career. Trained at Bard College, the Curtis Institute of Music and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, she has been teaching at the Bard College Conservatory of Music since 2019. She lives in New York but visits Normandy regularly.
- Kit Armstrong
A renowned pianist and composer with a passion for chamber music, he performs in some of the world’s leading concert halls, such as the Musikverein in Vienna and the Berlin Philharmonie, alongside celebrated conductors such as Esa-Pekka Salonen. A six-time winner of the Morton Gould Young Composers Award, he has also written works commissioned by European institutions and published by Peters.
In 2012, he acquired the Church of Sainte-Thérèse in Hirson, France, and transformed it into a venue for concerts, exhibitions and cultural activities. This cultural centre now hosts interdisciplinary projects, including the annual Semaine de la Voix, which attracts both regional and international audiences.
We will have the honour of welcoming them from 11 to 13 July as part of an artistic residency in collaboration with Jean-Marc de Pas, sculptor, creator of the garden and host of the venue.
